Mattson Culbert is a San Diego based photographer, videographer, husband, and proud father. I was fortunate to grow up with an avid surfer as a father and both grandparents living by the ocean. This is what inspired me to start to capture the ocean and surf lifestyle. I grew up at the beautiful beaches of Santa Barbara and Ventura County where I started shooting photos and filming my friends.

I spend my time now adventuring around San Diego County and various other coasts with my beautiful daughter and wife. My documenting passions include the Pacific Ocean, seascapes, tide pools, people, surfing, surf lifestyle, film photography, and any unique places in nature I encounter. Hope you enjoy my work.
